Debbie Mathew

Debbie Mathew has worked as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for 12 years and has been accredited with the BABCP for 10yrs. She has undertaken intensive specialist CBT training at The Maudsley Hospital Centre for Anxiety Disorders & Trauma/Institute of Psychiatry where she gained a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. She also has a Post graduate Diploma Cognitive Psychotherapy from Southampton University for Severe Mental Health Problems enabling her to also work with more complex conditions, such as psychosis and personality issues.

What I Offer

Most people at some point in their lives will come up against some kind of mental health problem, be it anxiety when public speaking, feeling over concerned about one’s health, feeling depressed about life events, or simply struggling to feel competent to deal with every day life.

I offer psychotherapy and advice for a wide range of conditions and problems, from the very mild to the severe.  We use both traditional Cognitive and Behavioural techniques, as well as more specialist CBT approaches, such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy,
